Heart-Mind Coherence is Incomplete

If you're looking for a way to improve your life and create more balance, reduce stress, and align with who you truly are, then heart-mind coherence is how you can achieve that.

What is Heart-Mind Coherence?

Heart-mind coherence was popularized by Dr. Joe Dispenza, a scientist who has spent decades studying the meditation and its healing benefits.

In taking brain readings of people before, during, and after meditation he and his team were able to measure the impact and changes to the body and brain when heart-mind coherence was achieved.

Heart-mind coherence happens automatically when you find that true peaceful state during meditation where you are in your own bubble of nothingness. Some call that connecting with the Quantum Field, your higher self, your soul’s essence, etc.

The results of having your heart and brain working as one is profound. When you're in a state of heart-mind coherence, you're able to think more clearly, make better decisions, and avoid many of the stresses and pitfalls of life.

You become more focused, creative, and productive simply because you are more connected to your heart center which is where all inspiration, creativity, and purpose, comes from.

Our Natural State

Heart-mind coherence is our natural state of being. It is how we are meant to function all the time. But unfortunately, the stresses of our modern lifestyle have resulted in people living from a more disconnected primordial survival state.

If you don’t believe me, look at the world around you.

On the surface, everything seems like it is getting worse. We have an unprecedented level of mental health issues mostly in the form of anxiety and depression. People are stressed and worried about their lives... and like I said, on the surface, with good reason.

This survival state of fight, flight, or freeze cripple’s one’s ability to make positive forward momentum in life. It causes emotions to get out of hand and irrational thoughts and behaviors that always lead to some form of unnecessary pain and suffering.

When you are disconnected from yourself, living mostly in survival mode, how can you live at your highest? How can you see the light at the end of the tunnel and change for the better? It becomes almost impossible.

Whether you know or not, or believe it or not, if you’re not operating from a peaceful coherent state, life is going to always be more difficult.

The Missing Piece

In the article, “The Three Brains No One Is Taking About” I revealed that the human body, from a neurological standpoint, has three brains. The brain in our head, the brain in the heart, and one in our gut (the lower abdomen).

The gut is where your intuitive gut-feeling comes from. It is where your higher faculties are grounded for practical application in your life. It is a vital component of your internal compass and inner GPS.

Each of these three brains play a unique but interconnected role in managing your entire earthly experience and embodiment. Yes, your entire experience. Imagine trying to get to a new destination without a GPS? That is how most humans live, even if it is only some of the time.

When the heart, brain, and gut are working together then your entire system works together in harmony… and that is obviously what you want. It is the ultimate state of peace, calm, and relaxation. It is also the ultimate state of empowerment and where self-certainty, inspiration, passion, and truth comes from.

So, when talking about heart-mind coherence, the gut must be part of the conversation and be equally part of your awareness. Luckily, the gut aligns with the heart and mind automatically during meditation, especially IF you breathe into the belly.

How Do I Achieve Coherence?

There are several ways to achieve heart-mind-gut coherence. One is through meditation as previously mentioned.

When you meditate, if you can find that place of peace, then coherence is achieved naturally and automatically. With daily practice you will achieve this state quicker and it will last longer and the more it will overflow into your daily life.

The other way to maintain or to achieve heart-mind-gut coherence while NOT meditating is to physically breathe into your belly while imagining you are breathing into your heart.

I know that sounds contradictory, but it is actually quite easy to do both at the same time. As your belly inflates your heart also expands.

Breathing into the belly is a key ingredient to combatting the fight or flight response which puts your body into a survival / stress mode. Belly breathing is how you are supposed to breathe ALL the time. Just watch how a baby breathes and you will see what I mean.

Belly breathing helps you stay connected to your gut and gives you easier access to your innate “gut-feeling” and when in coherence with the heart and the brain, then watch out. Miracles can happen.

Most people become chest breathers because of some trauma that caused them to switch from stomach to chest breathing. The reasons may vary, but it is worth spending time to retrain your breathing.

The quality of your life and your health depends on it.
